WHY THERAPY FOR WOMEN IN Pennsylvania?
In developing AROSE eTherapy®, Dr. Alicia Rozycki wanted to shift her practice focus to specifically offering online therapy catered towards women. After working over 15 years as a psychologist in both the civilian sector and military settings, it became obvious that the concerns of women were unique.
Many women would come to therapy burned out from managing multiple roles including mothering, working, and maintaining a relationship. In addition to managing multiple roles, women were bearing the brunt of managing households and caretaking children or parents; leaving them little time or energy for self-care.
Although there are some good partners, many women were settling for relationships where their partner was not pulling their weight. In caretaking, many women were struggling to say “no,” set boundaries, and carve out non-negotiable self-care time. It became clear; even superwomen needed support. From these experiences, AROSE eTherapy® was developed with a mission to support women.
